Defenders of the Ziggurat is a Tower Defense game that mixes 2D and 3D to present something unique within the genre.

Defenders of the Ziggurat is an allegory to the eternal search for esoteric knowledge, portraying how the proud nature of men can lead to self-destruction. The game's protagonist is an alchemist capable of building and animating Golens - beings formed from matter and brought to life artificially to serve their master. Nature's own will manifests itself to halt the Ziggurat's construction; will the alchemist reach the heavens?!

Defenders of the Ziggurat é uma alegoria à eterna busca por conhecimento esotérico, retratando como o orgulho humano pode levar à autodestruição.  O protagonista trata-se de um alquimista versado na arte da construção e animação de Golens - seres moldados a partir da matéria e trazidos à vida artificialmente para servir ao seu mestre. A própria vontade da natureza se manifesta para impedir a construção do Zigurate; conseguirá o alquimista ascendê-la aos céus?!
